Music Is A Tool

I’m sick of love songs. Every single thing on the radio seems to centre around it. Someone talking about how their heart is glowing, or smashed into a thousand pieces due to a recent break up. No offence, but there are way bigger fish to fry. Which is why I have welcomed these songs into my life. Sexual abuse, asylum seekers and drug addiction. These aren’t songs you will find in a club on a Saturday night, but they are songs you really should listen to, lyric to lyric. They talk about issues that are bigger than ourselves, and our feelings. They are about things that affect the masses that actually need our attention.
